[ad#ad-1]

Obviously most men with a yeast infection are slightly embarrassed by the fact that they have transmitted such a problem. However, male yeast infections are far more common than you would think. It is not just uncleanliness that can cause such a problem. One of the more common ways to contract a male yeast infection is having sexual relations with someone who has one already. This may seem like it would have been a noticable thing, but in all actuality for women, it can be something they have internally that is not easily noticed and may not show visual signs of a problem for several weeks after actually getting the infection.
Also, simply your diet can put you at a higher risk of a male yeast infection. Drinking beer, which is very high with yeast cells, is something that can make you more suseptible to yeast infections.

So how should you treat a male yeast infection? The first good way is to simply use over the counter products. You may think these are designed specifically for a woman, but in reality, the yeast infection ointment can potentially be used for either male or female as long as it is applied directly to the infection.

Another option is just to use medical prescriptions. There are several out there but you should go to the doctor to get one prescribed to you. Generally getting a prescription is a fairly simple process. You would be surprised at how many doctors see this type of situation as many people can mistake them for very serious diseases.

Since a lot of male yeast infections can be caused by lots of sweating, it is recommended that if you are being treated either by ointment or by prescription to go ahead and wear loose clothing. This should allow the genitals to breath a little bit and will be easier to get rid of the male yeast infections.
